Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has demanded an end to speculation linking Cesc Fabregas with a move to Barcelona. Wenger has already rejected a £30m bid for his captain from the Catalans and Barca president Sandro Rosell has admitted a deal is unlikely in 2010. But several Barca players have made public pleas for 23-year-old Fabregas to return "home" to his boyhood club.
"Now the story has to stop," said Wenger. "Cesc is our captain, he is so important to us. We want to keep him."
